however, I'm a sucker for LOVE!

A sweet Gift from a sweet Friend...

My sweet friend, Shawn, brought me back some yummy goodies from Orange Beach, AL (Gigi's Scrapbooks & More)!

I watered her flowers/lawn and got her mail while she spent a beautiful week at the beach with her family.

She is the sweetest person and funniest gal I know!

So happy she is apart of my life...thanks Shawn!

Our new baby...

So we finally got our new baby today...and she rocks! Are boats boys or girls? I never know...anyway, just wanted to share!

Awesome storm photos...

I just wanted to share these awesome photos that I took a few weeks ago of a storm that blew through Shelbyville...and this is why I have a basement!

I'm amazed at the clouds in these phots...just awesome!

A small streak of bad luck...

1. trees fell in our backyard from storm and damaged our fence (chainsaw & patched).
2. scanner was on the fritz (now fixed).
3. boat engine was falling through floor (bought a new boat today).
4. took the truck through a car wash and it broke the passergerside windshield wiper (they said to send them the bill).
5. got some kind of itchy bug bites on me (benadryll cream is helping).
6. showed up for Paper DOLLS meeting and door were locked (had to get mgr. of center to come let us in).

There is probably more - but so much has happened that I just can't remember it all.

However - all the things that have gone bad this month...have all been fixed or repaired or taken care of. So, no need to worry about BAD LUCK with prayers and Jesus on your side. He will not ever give us anything more than we can handle.

I can't wait to get started and see what's in store for me. The Scrapping Studio is a wonderful tool and free online scrapbook magazine packed with ideas and layouts! I got an email today asking if I'd join their design team and I was shocked! I can't wait to dive into this and I'm so thankful to get this opportunity to chat with other members of the DT and see what ideas and techniques they have up their sleeves.

On another note...look at my cutie at his first ADULT softball game.

He is playing on our church league and I have to say he is very good!

He played short stop. They lost the game 6-4 but had a great time and he can't wait until the next game!

Scrapbook Day at Jen's

Wow....what a beautiful Saturday! The sky is blue, the wind is cool and the sun is out! Super blessed to have such a wonderful weekend.

I got up today ready to scrapbook. I invited a few of my friends over to play in my scrapbook room. So...my friends Lisa & Amy came over to help make a beautiful mess...(me, Lisa-center-, and Amy)!

We had a great day scrappin, laughin', chattin' and just hangin' out! :)

Here are a few layouts that I completed today. I had so much fun using my CTMH & Technique Tuesday stamps! I don't get my stamps out often enough. I even did som embossing and Lisa even stamped! :)
We worked from 10:30am to 7:00pm - so much fun! What other hobby can you just hang out with your friends, eat, and have so much fun.

Frank and I went to eat at Zaxby's (super yummy) and then walked around our neighborhood before heading in the house for the night. We both have a big skit tomorrow at PowerHouse - I have 41 LINES!!! YIKES!

Well, for those of you that know about our tree disaster - we got the other broken 1/2 down and now I am ate up with Mosquitos or Chiggers - not sure which! I've put clear fingernail polish on them just in case. No one else got them..just me - cause I'm sooo sweet!!! HA! HA!!
I went to Ben Franklin Crafts at lunch and noticed they sell scrap photo mats (CHIPBOARD). For an 8x10 they are only .50! I also got some cool sequins that I can't wait to stick a brad through!

Weekend Plans:
Tonight we are going to our usual hang out "Asian Buffet" - we LOVE this place and are there at least once a week. They know us by name and always say "one diet and one water with lemon?" They are super sweet and the food is so yummy!!!

I'm having a mini-scrapbook day on SATURDAY at my house for a few friends! Can't wait! I do my best work when I'm with friends and family. I don't do well alone. Everyone is supposed to bring a snack or appetizer to share and we are going to lock ourselves in my scrapbook room!!
Sunday is our HUGE skit at church - got most of the skit down - gonna cram tonight so I'll have all day on Sat. to play.

Paper Bag Album

This is a paper bag album that I made for our mini-road trip to Corydon Indiana. I love making mini-albums and the paper bag albums are super fun.

You can sew them together or just punch holes up the side and add ribbon! Love how you have pockets to put trinkets in from your trip.

Just thinking...

My mom's mom died when I was 2 1/2. I didn't know her or even remember her holding me (as she did every morning). I don't remember her taking me to K-Mart to have my photo taken, I don't remember her giving me baths and hugs and kisses. I don't remember her rocking me to sleep, I don't remember her smell or the sound of her voice. I don't remember how her hand felt when I would reach out and I don't remember her brush my hair. I don't even have alot of photos of her and I.

My mom says that if my Mema were alive today - we'd be BEST FRIENDS. We have so much stuff in common that you'd think we grew up together. We have the same taste in shoes and clothes and even jewelry, we both love the color green, love to create (Mom says that Mema would LOVE to scrapbook), like daisies, love looking at old photos, love to go to the lake and lounge around, and both hard-headed!

I wish I knew who my Mema was and wish even more that she was here today. However, when I look in the mirror I see my Momma...and when I look at my Momma I see my Mema.
